Coming up this Autumn…
Into Film Festival
We are delighted to once again be part of the national INTO FILM festival. We will be hosting free screenings at The Engine Room community media centre in Bridgwater. We will be showing the following films…
BFG Thursday 22nd November
Ten-year-old Sophie is in for the adventure of a lifetime when she meets the Big Friendly Giant. Naturally scared at first, the young girl soon realises that the 24-foot behemoth is actually quite gentle and charming. As their friendship grows, Sophie’s presence attracts the unwanted attention of Bloodbottler, Fleshlumpeater and other giants. After traveling to London, Sophie and the BFG must convince Queen Victoria to help them get rid of all the bad giants once and for all.
Journeys End Friday 23rd November
Led by young officer Stanhope, whose mental health is rapidly disintegrating, a group of British soldiers await their fate in an Aisne dugout during the end of World War I.
We offer face-to-face support through pre-bookable 60 or 90 minute sessions. These will typically run at our Bridgwater Engine Room base. However by arrangement we can also come to you – indeed we would like to do so as it gives us a chance to better tailor what we offer to the benefit of your students.
Use these sessions to get the support you need to develop a digital project or to exploit digital technology to augment other creative work in any aspect of the curriculum. They are intended as CPD but on occasion we may be able to meet with a small group of your students in the process. As you will be aware the best return on your investment in InspirED is to embed skills with your staff. Time is limited so it is best to use these sessions to get something moving or to trouble shoot. We usually suggest a maximum of 6 to 8 teachers per session.
Using this popular 3D building software, we’ll work with groups of KS2 pupils to create a virtual sculpture garden and give you ideas to realise their vision later in the academic year. Each workshop lasts one hour and can accommodate up to 8 children per session.
Dates Available: 10/12/14/17/18 December 2018*
