Action for Cultural Education

This group brings together people working in the education, arts, heritage and cultural sectors to ensure that every child has the chance to visit, experience and participate in extraordinary work.

The last meeting took place in November 2019 at the Museum of Somerset, Taunton.

We were able to profile what was going on in the Somerset West and Taunton area and explore the potential for a cultural passport for all children and young people in Somerset, trying to answer the questions: what do we mean by ‘culture’ and how might it work?

If you’re a teacher interested in ensuring your children and young people have access to the arts, heritage, libraries, museums and more then please join us. Email info@inspiredsomerset.org.uk to express your interest.

Read the minutes of our previous meeting here, which took place at The Engine Room, Bridgwater on Friday 24 May 2019. You can find the google Doc about Global Citizenship resources here.
